Private Residence — Living & Dining Redesign
🔹 General Concept
The design merges classic architecture with contemporary minimalism, creating a refined dialogue between heritage and modern living. The space retains its traditional envelope — high ceilings, decorative moldings, paneled doors — while introducing new furniture, lighting, and color contrasts that reframe the atmosphere around comfort, geometry, and curated detail.
🔹 Materials & Finishes
The core palette builds on warm wood tones, brushed gold accents, natural marble, and soft textiles.
Solid walnut and oak veneers for furniture and doors anchor the palette in natural warmth.
Carrara-style marble adds refinement and reflection on the living room centerpiece.
Velvet and neutral upholstery maintain visual softness and tactile comfort.
Gold/brass finishes are strategically used on lighting, handles, and decorative accessories to elevate sophistication.
🔹 Custom Furniture
Living Room Table:
A monolithic low table in walnut veneer with a marble top, designed with bold geometry and minimal joints. Its proportions align with the surrounding seating layout, grounding the composition while showcasing craftsmanship.
Dining Table:
Executed in solid walnut, proportioned to match the room’s axial symmetry. The piece acts as a connecting bridge between the contemporary lighting and the classic carved buffet, balancing modern restraint with historical gravity.
Side Drawer Cabinet:
A custom lacquered storage unit designed with classical proportions and brass hardware. It serves as a visual pause between two door openings, supporting curated accessories and color accents (notably the bright yellow and cobalt blue tones).
Doors:
Custom-made with matching wood tone and classic profiles, refined with soft edges and satin lacquer finish — tying seamlessly with both old and new design language.
🔹 Lighting & Atmosphere
Lighting was the decisive unifying element — transforming the traditional structure into a contemporary, gallery-like environment.
Ceiling rings: Floating LED circles with warm temperature light (3000K) create modern rhythm and soft diffusion across the coffered ceiling.
Layered lighting plan: Balances ceiling geometry and vertical symmetry, producing even illumination with sculptural intent.
🔹 Styling & Decor
Every accessory was curated to create controlled contrast:
Pop art ceramics and color injections (yellow, blue, black) energize the neutral background.
Abstract artwork and sculptural objects introduce individuality and narrative tension.
The combination of velvet textures and polished surfaces balances comfort with sophistication.
🔹 Kitchen
The kitchen was redesigned for timeless functionality, staying consistent with the overall aesthetic.
Classic raised-panel fronts in ivory lacquer, paired with black composite countertop and white herringbone backsplash.
Brushed gold tap and hardware link the palette to the rest of the interior.
Integrated lighting under wall cabinets creates depth and usability without visual clutter.
The design maintains a clear identity: elegant, structured, and human-scaled — a space where craftsmanship and design logic coexist naturally.
